Today, the retired Justice, Shri. Ambadas Joshi enlightened all of us at the thirteenth session of Golden Jubilee Lecture Series, at Anand Hall, MIT CSN. He was welcomed by our Hon’ble President, Gramaudyogik Shikshan Mandal (G.S.M.) Dr Y. A. Kawade. Shri. Joshi spoke on ‘Viksit Bharat and the Contribution of Technical Education to it.’
Shri. Joshi praised the continued growth of G. S. M. and wished us further success in all our future endeavours in serving the nation and the society. While speaking to students, Shri. Joshi, himself being a keen student of Physics and Chemistry, engaged the audience in explaining the importance of Applied Science. He said, “Science, or knowledge if not applied in our lives, is of no use.” He gave real life examples of farmers who use basic scientific knowledge to simplify farming. He appealed to teachers to encourage critical thinking among students.
Shri. Joshi urged all students to mandatorily read two books of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, namely ‘India 2020’ and ‘Wings of Fire’. He emphasised the application of scientific knowledge by giving the examples of prehistoric cave paintings of Bhimbetka in Madhya Pradesh and the golden manuscript of ‘Dasbodh’ written by Shri. Kalyan Swami, a scribe of Shri. Samarth Ramdas.
