Placement Assistance

MIT placement cells provide placement assistance to its students. Training programs at MIT are geared up to expose and prepare students to shoulder responsibilities and excel in their professions. Our training and placement cell, with strong associations, organizes management development programs, consultancy, industry visits, guest lectures, CEO forums, student participation in various events associated with industries, and in-plant training. The training and placement assistance includes in-plant training ranging from 1-6 months for students depending on the courses being pursued by the student. 

 Other activities under placement assistance may include resume building, mock interviews and aptitude tests.

Training Initiatives

The Training and Placement Cell arranges seminars for students to inform them about placement activities, general company criteria, and how to get ready for the campus selection. It also runs a number of initiatives in collaboration with host faculty and visiting academics to enhance students’ interview, communication, and general aptitude. In collaboration with the relevant departments, the Training and Placement Cell hosts specific workshops for students to enhance their aptitude as well as GD-PI sessions. At the departmental level, special programmes are created in collaboration with T & P Faculty coordinators with the purpose of developing aptitude and passing the aptitude tests of the firms.

Employability Initiatives for Students

  • Career Path Training – 1300 students trained.
  • Students from CSE, IT and circuit branches background have been exposed to various programming platforms like Codechef for the preparation for dream companies.
  • Students are encouraged to participate in the various HACKATHONs and Company level competitions.
  • Online Practice Aptitude tests were given to final and pre-final year students. All the tests made available were free and industry standard tests.
  • Hundreds of students are registered for online MOOC Courses from UDACITY, UDEMY, COURSERA, SWAYAM, NPTEL, INFYTQ, EDX etc.
  • Students are enrolled with Infosys Springboard, TCS ion, FutureSkills NASSCOM courses.
