Overview of In-Plant Training

The curriculum of B.Tech course at Maharashtra Institute of Technology enables the students to undergo compulsory In-Plant Training of 16 weeks in the 8th Semester. The students are placed in various industries of regional and national repute and R&D organizations.

This In-Plant Training helps students in various aspects such as:

In-Plant Training Batch 2024-25: An Overview

Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT), Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Autonomous), continues to uphold its reputation for academic excellence and industry integration with an outstanding milestone in its In-Plant Training initiative. A total of 530 final-year B.Tech. students have successfully secured semester-long internships across 210 esteemed national and multinational companies and research institutes, showcasing the institute’s unwavering commitment to bridging the gap between academia and industry.

In a bold move to enhance the employability and skillsets of its engineering graduates, MIT mandates a comprehensive In-Plant Training program during the final semester. This initiative has emerged as a game-changer, offering students not just exposure but also experience in real-world, cutting-edge environments.

Notably, 165 students received monthly stipends of up to ₹50,000, reflecting both their competence and the confidence industries have in MIT’s talent pool. This remarkable achievement underlines the effectiveness of the institute’s industry-focused training model.

The internship program boasts participation from a prestigious lineup of organizations including Infosys, PubX, Baker Hughes, Liebherr Appliances India Pvt. Ltd., Reliance Industries Ltd., Tata Communications Ltd., Hue Logics, ThoughtData, Higher Concept, Outlook, Findability Sciences, Endress+Hauser India Pvt. Ltd., Greaves Cotton Ltd., Tata Motors Ltd., Siemens Ltd., Faurecia India Pvt. Ltd., AkzoNobel India, Sharda Infratech, Cosmo Films, Sanjeev Group, and Government of India’s Central Farm Machinery Training & Testing Institute, among many others. Esteemed research bodies such as DRDO, ISRO, and IIT Bombay also hosted MIT students, offering rich exposure to domains like Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Cloud Computing.

With 575 final year B.Tech. students handpicked by 290 esteemed national and multinational industries; MIT continues to shine as a beacon of excellence in providing unparalleled practical exposure to our students.
Our semester-long In-Plant Training, now a mandatory component for all final year B.Tech. students, reaffirms MIT’s position as a trailblazer in offering comprehensive industry-oriented programs.
The outstanding achievement of 185 students, receiving monthly stipends up to Rs. 25,000/- during their training, not only validates their competence but also reflects the trust and confidence industry giants place in MIT’s talent pool.
The roster of participating industries reads like Liebherr Appliances India Private Limited, Larsen & Toubro, Reliance Industries Limited, Coditas, Findability Sciences, Endress+Hauser Group, MAN Energy Solutions, Grind Master Machines Pvt. Ltd., Ola Group and many from elite business groups to renowned research organizations like ISRO – Indian Space Research Organization and DRDO, Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India. MIT students had the privilege of gaining hands-on experience across varies diversified fields. MIT’s continued emphasis on industry-academia collaboration through initiatives like the In-Plant Training program not only enhances the employability of its students but also contributes to the overall development and growth of the engineering ecosystem.
