Students join Diploma courses after class 10 as these courses open up opportunities for employment, entrepreneurship as well as higher studies without completing 12th standard thus offering flexibility in making career choices.

Students desirous of working can start working after completing 3 years program. Some students join direct second year in engineering UG programs, without having to appear in an entrance examination.

The diploma courses at MIT are industry-focused and offer hands-on training in the chosen subject of the student.

About the Institute

About the Institute

Marathwada Institute of Technology, Rotegaon (Polytechnic), was established in 2006 to provide technical education to students from rural areas. MIT Rotegaon has 45 competent and caring faculty members and 35 well-equipped laboratories offering hands-on experience to students.

MIT is an All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved institute to conduct full-time diploma courses and affiliated to the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE), Mumbai.

Eligibility for Diploma Program

The notified criteria for admission is as follows:

First Year admission:

The candidate should be an Indian national
Passed 10th Std./SSC examination or its equivalent, with at least 35% aggregate marks

Direct Second Year admission:

The candidate should be an Indian national
HSC/IT/MCVC examination pass

Direct Second Year of Post SSC:

A) Maharashtra State Candidature candidate:

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics/Biology subject (HSC Science).
10+2 Science with Technical (HSC Bifocal)
10+2 with Vocational (HSC MCVC)
10th + (2 years ITI) with appropriate trade

B) Note: Candidates other than those from the Maharashtra state shall be eligible for institution quota only.

It is mandatory for all candidates desirous of seeking admission to professional courses to complete the formalities of registrations on the DTE website (www.dte.org.in) on appropriate portals, verification of documents at any of the facilitation centers (in the state of Maharashtra), and possession of a merit number. This is applicable for admissions under both CAP as well as institute level (management quota) rounds.

The eligibility criteria mentioned above are subjected to the respective competent authorities’ guidelines from time to time.
Reservation norms will be as per the guidelines of the competent authority/state govt./DTE/university as applicable.
