MIT is an approved ESCO = Empanelled as Energy Service Company approved by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Ministry of Power, Govt. of India. MIT is the first educational institute in India to be awarded the ESCO status. It is a non-profit organization service provided By the MIT ESCO.

MIT works with various state energy development authorities like MEDA, GEDA, CEDA, and MPEDA to conduct various energy audit programs and awareness programs for energy conservation and involve students’ participation and training. MIT ESCO is an active member of the Energy Cell of Chamber of Marathwada Industries and Agriculture (CMIA).

Facilities & Personnel: MIT has resource persons as energy auditors, experienced professors, and graduate engineer trainees to handle assignments. MIT is the first educational institute in Aurangabad with a 200 kwp solar rooftop system. MIT is a member of MEDA, GEDA, and DREDA, equipped with many energy-efficient equipments.
