Our ‘Alumni Dil Se’ talk series initiative, ‘Alma Mater – Alumni Dialogue’ featured Shri Chandrakant Undage, Chief Engineer, Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai, our alumnus from Civil Engineering Department, 1990 batch.
He shared valuable insights on urban infrastructure, governance, and career opportunities in civil engineering, inspiring students through real-world experiences.
During the interactive session, Shri Chandrakant Undage shared:
- Practical insights into urban infrastructure development and large-scale public projects
- His experiences in municipal governance, planning, and execution of civic infrastructure
- Challenges and responsibilities of civil engineers in metropolitan cities like Mumbai
- Career opportunities, required competencies, and ethical responsibilities in the field of civil engineering
He also reflected on his journey from being a student at MIT to holding a key leadership position in MCGM, emphasizing perseverance, continuous learning, and professional integrity.
The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who actively engaged in discussions and posed thoughtful questions related to:
