Android App titled "Mahishasurmardini" designed and developed by Renukadas Deshmukh , MIT alumnus and noted Computer Businessman of the city, has been launched by Vijaya Rahatkar, National President, BJP Mahila Morcha, Delhi, in the presence of Vishwas Nangare Patil, Prof Munish Sharma, Director General, MIT Group, Dileep Dharurkar, Sr. Journalist, Principal Dr Santosh Bhosle and Logo Designer Sunita Deshmukh.
"Women have been honored in India since ancient age ; Knowledge, Wealth and Power have been headed by Goddess Sarswati, Lakshami and Durga respectively. However, the society has been deviated from the core culture. Hence, ratio of girl:boy is not adequate, the ill attitude towards women and the drug-addiction is creating very panic cases on daily basis across nation. Education to girls, and application of technology in creating awareness drive shall resolve the problems. Public utility App like Mahishasurmardini shall address such problems effectively and efficiently." expressed by Vijaya Rahatkar.
Renukadas Deshmukh told that Mahishasurmardini app can be downloaded from Google play store are free-of-cost. Once downloaded, net service is not needed to access information. App includes information in regional language "Marathi", about Help line from Police offices, Damini Help Center, Acts about woman protection, tips for self-protection.

Mahishasurmardini app is one such example, available at free, developed on Linux platform; Soon, Hindi and English version shall be launched for the nation." said Prof Munish Sharma, Director General, MIT Group of Academic & Research Institutes, Aurangabad.
